Quick to make and naturally gluten-free, all you need is fresh okra, a handful of spices, and a hot pan to get the magic going. Trust us—your snack game just leveled up!

  • Ingredients

    Oils/Fats
    • Vegetable oil, as needed


    Vegetables/Fruits
    • Okra 175 g
    • Lemon 1/2 medium


    Herbs/Spices
    • Chaat masala ½ tsp + extra for topping
    • Chilli powder ¼ tsp
    • Coriander, as needed
    • Garlic paste 4 g
    • Ginger paste 4 g
    • Turmeric powder ¼ tsp


    Flours
    • Chickpea flour (Besan) 15 g
    • Cornflour 10 g


    Others
    • Water 4 tsp (as needed)

  • Method

    Preparation
    • Prepare vegetables - Wash and dry Okra, trim tops off and slice lengthwise
    • Prepare garnishes - Cut Lemon into wedges and finely chop Coriander
    • Mix Chickpea Flour and Cornflour in a small bowl


    Cooking
    • Combine Chaat masala, Chilli powder, Garlic paste, Ginger paste and Turmeric powder into a large bowl. Add a teaspoon of Water until a smooth paste is formed
    • Add sliced Okra and toss until well coated
    • Sprinkle Chickpea Flour and Cornflour mix over spiced Okra
    • Heat oil to 180°C / 356°F and fry Okra in small batches until crispy and golden. Let oil soak on paper towels


    Assembly
    • Sprinkle with Chaat Masala
    • Serve with Lemon wedge and chopped Coriander
